Kevin and I went to Lowe's today to buy more paint. We decided that the hallway color looked weird next to the green in the baby's room, so now Kevin is painting the hallway. Honestly, I would have been fine to leave it, but he's been wanting to change it for a while so this gives us an excuse. I also purchased some foam stamps for dots n the baby's room. Kevin is supposed to paint a board white so I can practice before attempting on the wall.
While in Lowes, we started talking about the closet in Micah's room and decided we needed a closet organizer. We love it! This is it right now - you can move the shelves around and you can buy little sliding baskets for it too. We're very excited about the closet organizer. :)
And, I had to try the closet organizer out with some new clothes I bought today for Micah. I'm trying not to go crazy because I'm not sure how big he will get over the next couple months, so I'm trying to wait until I get another height/weight report. But, these I could not resist...
Love the clothes! It is very hard not to go crazy buying baby stuff! I have not bought anything in two weeks--mostly because someone at work pointed out that, if I didn't stop buying, there wouldn't be anything left for anyone to buy me. That was a good enough reason to stop! My checkbook thanks me!
ReplyDeleteThose baby clothes are adorable! I'm in the mood to shop but haven't a clue how old or how big my daughter will be. Ugh. Hence the wait.
ReplyDeleteOOOOOO I love Micah's new clothes and the closet organizer is FAB! I'm going to have to go check out the new "red" products. I love that romper!!
ReplyDeletei've been lurking along and wanted to offer my congratulations! how absolutely wonderful for you!! and i love love the baby gap (red) outfit!
ReplyDeleteHi Stacie:
ReplyDeleteOh, coincidences!!!
I happened upon your blog and noticed your referral for 3 month-old Yabsira. We were at CHI the very day that they received his referral!! My husband and I had helped CHI with some aspects of their program as it was being developed.
We went to visit the team a couple of weeks ago when your referral came in. It was amazing to be a part of that. Now here you are the real life family of this beautiful boy!!!!
Congratulations! CHI is a fabulous organization with a sincere heart. I wish we could have used them :)
P.S. I should have told you...I posted about the referral and our time at CHI. If you go to www.beautiful-child.blogspot.com and look under "St. Louis". You can read all about it. Amazing! The staff are truly genuine and heart-working people.
ReplyDeleteSilas has BOTH of those outfits! :) That is so funny...We just bought the RED gap onesie this weekend..I got 6-12 months for Silas, although he is currently wearing 3-6 months from Gap. I don't know if that is helpful.....Do you know Micah's measurements/weight?
ReplyDeleteWow!!
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I just got thrilled for you! How fortunate you are already recieving your referral....we dream of the day :-)
Can't wait to check back and see the picture! Much love and to you and your family
I just found your blog! Congrats on the baby boy! My husband and I are adopting from Ethiopia as well and can't wait to find out if we're having a boy or girl...although, we are very early in the process. So happy for you that you are towards the end of the paperwork journey, but just beginning the journey of a lifetime with your new baby!
