I think I'm going to have to get one of these-
I forgot to add this earlier - you can find this at Cafe Press - just enter in adoption+ethiopia in the search and you'll find a lot of fun stuff (thanks Jill!)
Also, I should have explained- injera is Ethiopian bread- you basically use it to eat your food. You do not use forks with Ethiopian food- that is what injera is for. Lots of people don't care for it b/c of the texture, but I can't get enough of it.
Am I missig something or is it just that we aren't adoting from Ethiopia, but what is injera?
ReplyDeleteI HAVE to have one of these!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm one of those people that have texture issues. I started gagging on the injera. But, I also don't like sourdough bread and injera has that fermented kind of taste. I'll keep my mouth shut (literally!) and let my daughter make her own decision.
ReplyDeleteI wish I loved injera like you do....I am hoping that it will be an acquired tast for me..:) Oh, FYI about CafePress stuff...I ordered a few shirts from there...One of them was the Ethiopian flag..it arrived and the flag is in pastel colors. From my experience too...the onesies run big. I have a t shirt too and it seems true to size.
ReplyDeleteThanks for clarifying what injera is for those of us non-Ethiopia adopters!
