This was Micah's first year of really understanding the whole Santa thing with Christmas. Needless to say, that made it all the more fun for Kevin and I. And not only did Micah understand it, but he LOVED it all. He loved going to see Santa, loved wearing his Santa hat (thank you Pottery Barn Kids for making one to fit little heads!) and pretty much talked about "Ho-Ho" non-stop.
Christmas morning was just the three of us - and it was so nice. We opened presents, played, had coffee and relaxed before going to see family. Even the dogs got gifts and they extremely happy.

Feelin' It
(pssst - let's just ignore the fact that I was a big #FAIL in that noblopomo thing. I'll try again next year... moving on...)
Yeah, so I'm starting to feel The Wait. I've also put on some BabyWait, but I'm blaming that on the holidays, and I know it will disappear once she comes home and I forget how to sit down and eat a meal. (That's how it was with Micah, at least.) We were put on The Wait list one year ago today. I always said that I'd probably start to go a little crazy after the 12 month mark, and I was right.
I am starting to have to hold back anxious tears when I see BabyGirl's things or her room. I am starting to daydream about her. I'm starting to imagine holding a baby again (not that I'm not still holding one now - he's just a giant baby). I'm starting to wonder what she'll be like and how old she'll be and if she'll be little like Micah was or a chunk-o'-love like some babes.
You know what else I've been doing? Looking at Micah's baby pictures. Remembering baby stage. Fat, round faces and soft curls. Uh-huh... I'm ready. (And please remind me of this when she's home and I'm wondering how I ever thought I could handle two kids. Okay? Thanks.)
Oh those curls...love them
