My Own Retail Therapy

This is my own personal retail therapy. You see, my old ipod was unfortunately lost at the park. I will not name the person who misplaced my beloved ipod, but it should be noted that he felt incredibly terrible about it (even though I told him over and over that it was okay - things like that happen!). :) So, this week, that un-named person got me a brand new beloved ipod. Very sweet, un-named person.

And, this is one of the songs I have on my new ipod that I thought I'd share because it is very sweet. But, fair warning (Sarah), this song, especially if you actually download and listen to it, has the potential to bring on the happy, expectant tears! It's a smile through your tears kind of song. (Oh, and thanks to Jenni - this is on her website and I took it from there :)

"Godspeed (Sweet Dreams)"
~ Dixie Chicks

Dragon tales and the "water is wide"
Pirate's sail and lost boys fly
Fish bite moonbeams every night
And I love you
Godspeed, little man
Sweet dreams, little man
Oh my love will fly to you each night on angels wings
Godspeed
Sweet dreams
The rocket racer's all tuckered out
Superman's in pajamas on the couch
Goodnight moon, we'll find the mouse
And I love you
Godspeed, little man
Sweet dreams, little man
Oh my love will fly to you each night on angels wings
Godspeed
Sweet dreams
God bless mommy and match box cars
God bless dad and thanks for the stars
God hears "Amen," wherever we are
And I love you
Godspeed, little man
Sweet dreams, little man
Oh my love will fly to you each night on angels wings
Godspeed
Godspeed
Godspeed
Sweet dreams

  1. Thanks again Stacie! Is all we do anymore is make each other cry? :) How have I missed this song, I never heard it before. I cried just reading the lyrics, you can imagine when I actually listened to the song itself.

  2. I LOVE that song! Thank you for reminding me of the lyrics. I was just thinking of you today - the wait has to be making you crazy. I keep checking to see if just maybe you have a referral. :)
